Poly Lite is a very light weight polyester fabric, uncertified. This fabric is too light for a full scale aircraft and only recommended for scale models or ultralights. It is a very dense weave and takes only one coat of Poly Brush to fill the weave of the fabric. You can purchase lighter fabric but it is NOT the fabric that adds the weight, it's the number of coats of paint and the kind of paint that adds weight. The Poly Lite comes 70" wide. For models, take the wingspan and add the length of the fuselage and round UP to the nearest yard. A Quarter scale model it usually takes 4 yards for a monoplane. For a Third scale model, plan on 7 yards for a monoplane.
